Bringing about a Change Within

As we enter the last month of 2013, it's probably as good a time as any to look back and reminisces about the days gone by. 2013 was mixed year for Indian businesses. A country hit by scams, inflation and policy paralysis still has to come to terms with the reality that we need to evolve. We have to make choices right now and take action. Not doing anything and procrastinating any further would spell disaster to the way of life as we have known it for the past decade. A decade which almost forced us to chase impossible dreams!!
As private citizens & private organisations, we are now at the tipping point wherein we have to participate in the public life. As a country we are at a stage wherein we have all the ingredients to pull it off. A very young working population, huge telecom penetration, an army of software engineers, a middle class who want to consume the best products, services and experiences. What more does a country want? We just need to have take collective responsibility and translate our potential into reality. What is required is a policy framework espousing the twin causes of a corruption free regime and actionable legislation. Reforms are urgently required in every forum. One cannot believe the kind of primitive practices still being followed in this day and age. However, all this is something that any sane and logical person would tell us. Its easier said than done! Reams have been written about it by very knowledgeable people. To implement this in any way, any enterprise needs a strong leadership. This also has to do with the life stage of the enterprise.
It is very difficult to choose between a NaMo and a RaGa today. After all, the current crop of politicians come from the same cauldron of corrupt systems. First and foremost, we have to admit that we are facing a systemic issue here. Unless we roll up our sleeves and set this right, we cannot have the correct results. Hats off to Arvind Kejriwal for atleast trying out something new!! Though AAP also need to put checks and balances in place to prevent misuse of their brand and processes. However at least their heart is in the right place. Everything else will flow from there.
We owe it to ourselves, to our country, to our children and future generations to create a better world than the one we live in. This is the time for action. At Birdvision, we are proactively encouraging everyone around us...be it colleagues, friends, family to be the change that we want. Change has to come from within.....a change where we can believe that honesty actually pays, where women are treated with respect and as equals, where the mind is fearless to pursue new paths.......

Launching BVC Connect

In the last two years, we have all heard talks around "Big Data", "Gamification", "Mobility", etc. We have also heard of some very innovative products being launched, getting various industry awards, getting seed funded and then losing steam as they face the real market test! This is invariably a phenomenon that happens in every industry wherein a trend becomes a buzzword and everyone follows a herd mentality and jumps in without a second thought. How do we actually gauge the market potential for a particular service or product before putting in stakeholder money in a project? Easier said than done. It is actually one of the most difficult things to do. It is very important to curb the temptation of jumping in and swimming with the tide. Finally every seed of an idea needs to executed well to give off results. We see a huge opportunity in all of the above so-called buzzwords. But it also has to make business sense and hence products and services around these have to designed accordingly.

Just because SMAC (Social, Mobile, Analytics, Cloud) is the in-thing does not necessarily mean that any kind of service would actually result in business. Yet we strongly believe that our lives in the future would move around these and related innovations. Hence as we take baby steps to get a foothold into this futuristic world, we also are designing methodologies to create MVPs and coming up with services which can actually be used by real people in real time.

These are exciting times for Team BVC. Birdvision's transactional platform (PaaS) for Rewards & Loyalty services (bvcrewards.com) is already gaining a whole lot of traction in the market with 43000+ members already onboarded.

Birdvision now launches its SMS based Engagement Program for corporates - BVC Connect.

This service is being pilot tested by three major companies (two of them being global MNCs) to capture ground level real time data. "Datafication" in the true sense. This SMS based program is one of its kind in the industry and success in this beta testing phase would allow BVC to then launch it across various verticals.
